From the initial responses to the brief, I had the most interest in the meringue and marshmallow exploration, and playing off the Tacit and Haptic knowledge. Realising that the context and narrative in this scenario would be the key to the strength of the project, I wanted to see how and in which context I could engage with people to surprise them.

From thinking about the context, how to get an interaction to work, I realised I would need an object that is often borrowed, no one really knows the history of it and that I can predict when it will be used to be witness and to ensure that it isn’t left for a long period of time. With these pre-requisites I decided upon a board pen. With teaching sessions happening weekly, I could predict that there was a high chance that this would be used, but also, I would have time to place the item there beforehand.
