My aims for this project were to take an existing process that is of interest to me and I am familiar with, and alter it with consideration of Industry 5.0 and what I would like to see from the evolution. I think this project was a success and I was pleased with the development of my outcome

This design addresses the issue of mass manufacture, where the options for thrown ceramics on mass are still on a 1 by 1 fashion, either off the hump or prepping the balls beforehand. It also has the potential to allow throwing to be more inclusive and to address some of the health concerns that come through throwing either from a pre-existing condition or through injuries from years of throwing.

Further evolution of this project would include developing a range of tips for the end and developing a method to weight the bottom of the full-size prototype to prevent it reacting to the friction of the clay.
